We are having a February thaw here in Minnesota and although most of you wouldn’t consider this weather balmy, we Minnesotans certainly do.
The pathways around the Minneapolis city lakes are full of people walking, running and snowshoeing.
Snowshoeing is this wonderful calming activity that seems benign and easy. But just 2 miles can be an incredible workout. I use poles which will engage my arms more throughout the walk. Turning the 2 miles into a wonderful perfect change up of a cardio workout.
Think outside the box and head over to your local sporting goods store or if you live in the Twin Cities go to Gear West pick up a pair of snowshoes/poles and get out there this week.
