Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice or any rice you prefer
- 3 garlic cloves, pressed through a garlic press
- 1 block chicken bouillon cube
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan over med-high heat add butter and melt it completely. Add rice (I usually make 4 servings so that equals 1 cup of rice). (Have your garlic, bouillon and measured out water ready to go because the next steps go fast). Turn the heat down to medium and dump the rice into the pan and brown the rice. Just as it starts to turn a little brown put the bouillon and pressed garlic into the pan. Stir continuously and when the rice gets just a little bit more brown pour in water. Stir the mixture and place the lid on the pot and let it boil for 2 minutes then turn down the temperature of stove to low and let it simmer for another 15-20 minutes ( I usually turn off the stove keep the lid of the pot on and let it cook to the desired fluffiness).I serve this rice with many dishes but my family loves this with my BBQ chicken recipe.Happy Eating!!BBQ Chicken is a wonderful complement with this rice.
