Sometimes you want to take a shower and fix your hair, get dressed up (but not too dressed up) just to go to the grocery store or have coffee with a friend.

Well, here is your laid-back, polished vibe of an outfit.

As you all know I’m in active wear 85% of my day but on occasion I want to wear “civilian” clothes.

Not too dressy but put together. When that occasion calls I answer it with vibrant colors or strong patterns and very well cut but casual jeans.

I took a pair of Frank & Eileen Galway over sized jeans (which are the most comfortable jean ever), a more dressy Tuckernuck Bouvier blouse (that is washable), a fabulous pair of Caddis Life readers (in the color green), a mid-size Louis Vuitton “Never-full” bag, and Anthropologies Mauve brand loafers and I had myself one heck of a of a polished yet laid-back outfit. Easy to wear and look chic, not too dressed up, and stylish all at once.

The smallest details are the key to making a super casual outfit seem effortless but exceptional. Knowing when to pair your outfit with gold jewelry vs silver jewelry is HUGE.

Keeping your color in the same color family is another small but crucial element in creating a dynamic style profile while looking confident and effortless.

NOTE: When buying cropped jeans try them on!! Their fit is different from regular jeans and your shoes have to blend into the crop effect. I choose a higher chunky heeled loafer so my shorter legs look a bit longer and the crop doesn’t make me look shorter than I am.
