Have you ever stood in your closet under a time crunch and wondered how to pull off a polished look but you didn’t want to look like you tried too hard? You’re not alone. I had that happen the other day and I spotted this glorious houndstooth Leo blazer, from Tuckernuck and the outfit was then quick to put together. Let me tell how I did it.

The timeless pattern of this blazer offers a sharp, flattering fit that just reads sophisticated. The neutral tones in the blazer make it very easy to style. I started with the shirt, I chose a short waisted, short sleeve, black t-shirt from Anthropologie. I picked that because while it is getting a little cooler the weather can still get warm, so the short sleeves will come in handy if the blazer needs to be taken off.

Second item to style was my pants, for those I choose the new J.Crew corduroy. A vintage flare corduroy pant (that runs big) and is so soft and incredibly flattering. I also choose an over sized pearl necklace and that was it for jewelry. My reasoning is always less is more. The blazer is the star of the show never over power it with too many other patterns, and or jewelry.
