A Holiday Love Letter Outfit

I’ve always been a fashion nerd. Around 7th grade my best friend and I discovered Ralph Lauren polo shirts then we discovered his store downtown Minneapolis and the love affair began. I funded my new obsession by babysitting almost everyday of the weekend and on the weekends. Although the price was high, the payoff was long lasting. In fact, I still have a jacket I purchased in high school that my daughter wore in a photoshoot recently (I’ll post below), that is timeless.

What drew me to Ralph Lauren clothes was the look, of course, but I viewed the brand as more of a style compass, guiding me towards pieces that stand the test of time while being relevant. There is something about the balance of a plaid dress that can feel both nostalgic and modern at the same time.

Ralph Lauren designs never try too hard, never flashy or trend driven its more about the fabrics, fit, and detail. A Ralph Lauren piece communicates confidence through clean lines, expert tailoring, and a timeless color palette. The brand aligns perfectly with my philosophy of presenting yourself with ease and polish, without compromising authenticity.

The elegance is half of the appeal I’m attracted to the other half is the masculinity woven into Ralph Laurens collections. The way his menswear-touches intersect with his woman’s line, truly blows my mind every time I come across a new or vintage piece of his clothing.

My style isn’t loud; it’s a quiet celebration of quality, and timelessness. Ralph Lauren mirrors that perfectly: it is the brand that consistently says, “You deserve to look elegant without overthinking it.”

This outfit is embodies the Ralph Lauren design perfectly: understated, elegant, and subtly powerful. The red plaid captures the timelessness of the pattern, the cut of the dress is a sophisticated cut, and the halter neckline brings in the femininity.

The overall vibe is nostalgic yet current. I added in a pair of very coveted Prada black patient leather heels, simple Tiffany jewelry that round out this outfit. We encourage you to own your style, be brave and smart about what you wear, how you wear it, and at the end of the day look your best.

🌟Below is the Ralph Lauren jacket I purchased in 10th grade that my daughter Lizzy wore for a photoshoot that still looks as classy and timeless as the day I bought it.
