What if there is a new trend and it resonates just a little bit with you? How do you go about styling an outfit for yourself using this new trend?
That’s exactly how I felt when I discovered this new trend happening for Fall. Here is what did, and what I always do with new trends…They have to fit my style not the other way around.

First, know your own style. My style is preppy/upscale BoHo/tomboy, so I started creating an outfit with the piece of clothing that is MY style. I took a Hill House (preppy) dress and created the rest of the outfit around that dress.
I then add the “co-stars” and these fabulous boots from Stetson brand(-Stetson Boots) were the perfect add on to this darling black dress.
The Sarah boot from Stetson is a tall and sturdy boot that looks good no matter what you’re wearing.

I decided a cowboy was the next accessory to add on to the outfit to make it “outlaw couture”. The Lack of color straw cowboy is named “Outlaw-II” ironically and it fits like a glove. Because the whole outfit was black I thought turquoise necklace from- Silk Oak Designs, and a turquoise bracelet (I made) was just the right pop of color I needed.

Outlaw couture is a bit edgy, but completely able to mix with whatever your style represents. When putting your own outlaw outfit together think…chic, defiant, lovechild of high fashion, and streetwise all rolled into one.
