Decadent Hot Chocolate by Cindy Pascale

This is my mom’s recipe and I only remember her making it one time. I grew up in a small town in central Wisconsin. On a nice Saturday afternoon in February, my friends picked me up to go snowmobiling. We had fun for several hours. As the sun was starting to go down, my friends dropped me off. My mom surprised all of us by inviting all of the teenagers into the house for hot chocolate. As we sat around the kitchen table, everyone smiled and whispered how this was the best hot chocolate they ever had. Maybe, your family will agree?

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Optional toppings: this hot chocolate is so rich and sweet it does not need to be dressed up

with toppings. However, if you want, you can add whipped cream or mini-marshmallows.

Instructions
 

  • Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave.
    Mix all other ingredients in a large stock pot on medium heat.
    Stir in the melted milk chocolate.
    Stir until heated to desired temperature. About 10 minutes.
    Serve warm.
