Flourless Chocolate Cake

A Cindy Pascale Recipe

Flourless Chocolate Cake

I modified this Flourless Chocolate Cake recipe from Shana Hillman.
This is an elegant dessert with broad range from family brunch gatherings to fancy dinner parties. It is super easy to make and quickly became one of my favorite desserts to serve. Using cocoa powder to dust the pan keeps the recipe gluten free and there is not flour to leave white marks on the cake.

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder+additional sprinkles to dust cake pan
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Garnishes

Whipped Cream

Raspberries or slice Strawberries

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and dust with cocoa powder.
Over low heat, melt butter and chocolate. Stir frequently.
While butter and chocolate are melting, beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add sugar, vanilla and cocoa powder.
When butter and chocolate are melted, pour into mixing bowl and mix well.
    Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Slices can be heated in microwave for 20 seconds before serving.
    Happy Eating!!
