Do you understand what muscle does?

Muscle is one of the most expensive organs in the body. WHY?

Muscle is vital for movement, support, circulation, temperature regulation, internal organ function, and energy storage.

Muscle helps regulate blood sugar, your muscles are basically a MOP, mopping up excess blood sugar. Regular muscle activity enhances insulin sensitivity, making your body more efficient at managing blood glucose.

Lifting heavy weights not only makes your muscles stronger and bigger but also significantly boosts your metabolism. It enhances calorie burning, improves blood sugar regulation, and supports long-term fat loss, making it a powerful tool for overall heath, fitness, and metabolic efficiency.

The Workout:

Break this workout up into 2 Rounds and go for time.

Each Round should be 15 minutes long.

Once you finish the first Round take a 1 minute break drink some water and then start the next Round. Do each exercise for the allotted reps take a 30 sec break then go to the next exercise. If you start compromising your form in the first Round go down in weight. If you can execute each rep with good form go up in weight the next Round.

  1. DB (dumbbell) Goblet Squats x10
  2. DB Reverse lunge (alternating legs) x10
  3. DB Straight Leg Deadlift x10
  4. DB Clean and Press x15

Your core should be tight during all the exercises. Think of lifting as squeezing and stretching that’s all lifting really is squeezing and stretching the muscle.
