How to Style a Fall Outfit

Early Fall can be a tough time to put together an outfit.

Depending on the occation you need to factor in the weather.

It can be very warm, most likely raining, or turn cold quickly.

Once you have the weather temperture figured out than you can determine the type of dress or pants you will wear for whatever occation you are attending.

Jewerly then can be determined but you are left with what SHOES to wear.

(I don’t follow the rule of “after labor day you can’t wear white or you can’t wear sandles).

I wear both in Fall.

If the weather is warmer and the sandle has more Fall colors in it, possibly a heavier fabric, you can still wear sandles.

Recently I helped host one of my best friends surprise birthday party. When picking out my outfit for the occation I factored in that I wasn’t cooking or hosting the event at my home however, I was orchestrating the event at a restuarant and needed to be on my feet for several hours.

A platform shoe is perfect for that occation.

A platforms heightened heel in the front of the shoes elevates the ball of the foot taking the pressure off the front of the foot redistributing your weight more evenly.

I considered the details of the pattern in my dress and determined gold earrings and a simple gold bracelet would let the dress shine more then the jewlery.

I wore a simple watch with a brown leather band that accentuated the brown in the pattern of the dress. Finally, the dress I choose was cream with Fall colors in the pattern of the dress.

The evening was warm so this dress with its short sleeves and a little heavier fabric was a WIN!!
