A statement piece of clothing can be tricky to style, right. If you hit the mark it can look out of this world if you miss the mark it can look like an epic fail.

The key is to choose a color and pattern that either complement or contrast nicely with the color of the embellished clothing item. Have fun play around with different style combos.

I styled this pair of “House of Sunny” purple pants with a cream colored “Etcetera” tank top. I also paired the pant with a purple shoe that was in the purple family but a different hue and texture. I added to the whole outfit silver and grey accessories.

The “Craft Violet-House of Sunny” pant has faux barbed wire inspired design down the sides and the fabric looks like suede but is faux suede and washable.
