M&M Christmas Cookies
This is a very simple recipe, however, there are couple of things that set this cookie apart from a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe. First, you need room temperature UNSALTED butter it creates a slightly different flavor then regular Chocolate Chip cookies. Second, this cookie is very versatile, you can decorate them with sprinkles or other Christmas decorations or place decorative sticks at the bottom of the cookie and turn it into a cookie pop.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1 bag red/green M&M's
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Cream the sugar, butter and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla mix well. Finely, add the salt, baking powder and flour until all ingredients are incorporated together. The add the M&M's with a spoon and stir until incorporated.
- Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet and place a tsp's of dough 2" apart on the parchment.
- Bake for 8 minutes and check the cookies for just a hint of brown around the edges. Bake until the cookie looks slightly brown. Happy Eating!!
