A metcon workout is short for “metabolic conditioning.” It is a type of workout designed to improve your body’s energy systems and overall fitness. It aims to boost your endurance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness.



The format for a metcon workout is generally, circuits or intervals. You perform a series of exercises in a set amount of time (like 20 minutes) or complete a certain number of Rounds of a series of movements. The key to a metcon is working at a high intensity, pushing your self during the exercise, which can help maximize calorie burning and improve your fitness level.
Equipment:
Dumbbells/Yo Gorilla Mat
The Workout:
3 Rounds of 3 exercises done back to back no rest until the last exercise is complete. Each exercise you will be doing 10 reps.
- Hand Release Push-Ups x10
- Burpees x10
- Thrusters x10
- Squats x10
Remember use proper form and keep your core tight during all exercises.
