- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 lb (about 4 cups) pecan halves
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 300° and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.Add the egg white and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Whisk/blend until it’s frothy.Toss the pecan halves in the beaten egg white mixture until they are evenly coated.In a small bowl, mix together the remaining dry ingredients until combined.Dump the sugar mixture into the bowl of pecans and stir until evenly coated.Spread pecans on the lined cookie sheet in a single layer. Bake at 300° for 30minutes stirring half way through.Allow pecans to thoroughly cool. They crisp up as they cool.HAPPY EATING!!
