For many years, while I was married, my Mother-in-law made spectacular Christmas cookies. This peanut butter blossom cookie recipe was among the family favorites. My Mother also made these and they were fantastic as well. Both recipes created a delectable cookie with a fun Hersheys Kiss on the top of each cookie. Both of these recipes call for each cookie to be made very small, which is how you portion control your sweets.
- 1/2 cup soften, butter
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 lbs Hersheys Kisses
Preheat the oven to 350°. Take parchment paper and place it on cookie sheet.Cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and mix well.Blend in flour, baking soda, and saltTake a 1/4 cup of sugar and place it in a bowl.Make small balls and roll each ball in the bowl of sugar and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Cook for 8 mins, take out of oven and unwrap the Hershey Kisses and place one kiss on each cookie. put the cookies back in the oven for 2-4 minutes.Makes 3 dozen cookiesHAPPY EATING!!
