Margarita Pie A Cindy Pascale Recipe
This pie is the perfect summer treat and was the centerpiece to our Cinco De Mayo party. This recipe is from the Great Brand Name Recipes Cookbook.
Ingredients
Crust
- 1/2 cup butter-melted
- 1 1/4 cups finely crushed pretzels
- 1/4 cup sugar
Filling
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14oz)
- 1/3 cup lime juice
- 2 to 4 tbsp tequila
- 2 tbsp triple sec
- 1 cup (1/2 pint) whipping cream-whipped
Garnish – Optional
Whipped cream, pretzels, orange twists and/or mint leaves
Instructions
- In a small bowl mix the crust ingredients. Press into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie dish. Chill
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, tequila and triple sec. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into the chilled prepared crust. Freeze.
- It will take up to 4 hours to freeze all the way through. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers.Happy Eating!!
