This is hands down the best and easiest salsa recipe EVER!! The flavor will blow you away. Years ago a neighbor gave me this recipe, I made a slight change to some of the recipe and it turn out better (I didn't think that was possible). Enjoy!!
Ingredients
- 6 tomatoes, chopped and drained in a strainer
- 1 medium onion finely diced
- 1 small can of green chilies
- 1 medium thai or jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced (1-2 tbsp)
- 2 tsp parsley chopped fine
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground oregano
- 2 medium cloves of garlic minced
- 1 tsp cilantro chopped (optional, I'm not a fan of cilantro but if you like it put it in)
- 2 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 2-3 lime juice
Instructions
- I salt the tomatoes once they are chopped and in the strainer. I use table salt and I use a lot of it. It pulls the moister out of the tomatoes so your salsa isn’t runny. Let the tomatoes sit in the strainer for at least a 1/2 hour. Add the rest of the ingredients and tomatoes to a bowl and stir~once combined put mixture into a pretty serving bowl and stand back it will magically disappear.Happy Eating!!
