Chessy Noodles Cabin Recipe #1

Back in the day my family and I would head up to the cabin every Friday for the weekend. Our dear friends had a cabin down the road from us so we spent many weekends together and many meals together. I love cooking so everyone would generally gather at our cabin. One of my stand by side dishes was Chessy Noodles.
Cooking for a crowd can be overwhelming but with some of our "Cabin Recipes" we hope to help you solve this issue.
This recipe was given to me by one of my best friends Katie Hubbell McCollow. Her Mother made this recipe a lot and it was a family favorite in the Hubbell house as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup Kraft parmesan cheese
  • 1 8ounce brick of cream chesse
  • 1/2 cup half & half
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Fill a large pot with water and bring to boil, put egg noodles in the pot and cook according to the directions.
  • Meanwhile in a very large skillet, melt the butter.
    Add cream cheese and melt.
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and stir adding salt pepper to taste.
Shake on the Kraft parmesan cheese and stir continuously adding as much or as little as you like.
Add in half & half and add more if the noodle dish is too thick. Add the garlic salt, salt and pepper.
You can always add ingredients so add things slowly you can't subtract ingredients.
    Serve Hot.
