When it comes to making a statement, few combinations are as captivating as a golden dress paired with (the color of the season) burgundy buckle shoes. Mixing these rich Fall hues with very simple lines creates a look that is not only elegant but eye-catching.

I wanted to style this very simple golden dress, carefully so as not to take away from the allure but enhance it. I added a multi-strand of pearls, pearl earrings, and these absolutely stunning suede burgundy buckle sling backs (from Talbots) to create a pure elegant glamorous and simple outfit.

My objective whenever styling an outfit is to balance the look. If you are wearing a golden vibrant dress, consider keeping your accessories minimal. Understated jewelry allows the outfit to shine. I also did my make-up in what is now called “resting Rich face”, make-up artists term for minimal make-up to just enhance the face features but look as natural as possible. I also pulled my hair back in a slick ponytail to again allow the dress and shoes to shine not my hair.
