Last Minute Home-Made Fudge Sauce

This is the chocolate sauce my Mother made for us while we were growing up. We put it on ice cream, spread it on graham crackers and sometimes by the spoonful right out of the jar. I make this dreamy sauce at Christmas time and give it away as gifts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • In a sauce pan on medium low heat, melt the butter and evaporated milk together. Add the chocolate and powdered sugar and bring to a boil~Stirring constantly. Continue to stir and boil for 8 Minutes.
  • Take off the heat and add the vanilla. Stir. Let cool and put in jars or whatever you decide to store it in and it can be refrigerated for up to a month.
    Happy Eating!!
