Load up Leg Workout

Why should you do a leg workout?

A leg workout can boost your metabolism. Given your legs are the largest muscles in your body, working them out raises your basal metabolic rate for hours post-workout. You improve your posture because sitting most of the day weakens the legs and hips. Strengthening the legs counteracts that weakening and over time improves your alignment.

Equipment

Dumbbells & a step or bench of any kind

The Workout

3 Rounds of all 5 exercises with a 20 second break after each exercise

  • Lateral lunge/Row/4 Pulses (right leg) x10
  • Lateral lunge/Row/4 pulse (left leg) x10
  • Alternating Lateral lunge (body weight only) x10
  • Plyometric reverse lunge (body weight only) x10
  • Bulgarian Squat/Upright Row (right leg) x10
  • Bulgarian Squat/Shoulder Press (left leg) x10
  • Box Jumps x10

Go up in weight with each Round if you can. If your form is compromised when you go up in weight go back down to lighter weight. Never compromise your form. I design these workouts to be efficient and smart so you don’t have to think just DO.

“YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS TO SHOW UP WHEN YOUR MIND IS MAKING EXCUSES.”
