Popovers
Equipment
- 1 popover pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk, at ROOM temperture
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 large eggs, at ROOM temperature
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- MORE melted butter, for greasing the popover cups
Instructions
- Position a rack on the lowest rung of the oven and preheat the oven to 420°
- Butter or spray the popover pan.
- Place all the ingredients into a blender and whirl until smooth. You can also use a food processor or a mixing bowl and a hand held mixer.
- Pour 1/3 of the batter into each popover cup. Place the popover pan in the oven and bake WITHOUT opening the oven door for 25 minutes. Turn the temperature down to 350° (DON'T OPEN THE DOOR) bake for another 15-20 minutes (this helps to dry out the interior of the popover. Serve immediately with butter, honey, jam or apple butter.Happy Eating!!
