A Cindy Pascale RecipeSomeone once told me a recipe needs to have multiple ingredients to be called a recipe. So, I asked ChatGPT: “Is there a minimum number of ingredients to call something a recipe?” The response was: “no, there’s no formal minimum number of ingredients required for something to be considered a recipe. What matters more is whether there are instructions for preparing or combining ingredients to achieve a particular result.” I mention this because this roasted cauliflower recipe has 4 ingredients (if you call salt and pepper two separate ingredients!) and three simple steps to prepare. So, you decide for yourself if you would call this a recipe or not! Either way, the result is the same – a delicious side dish!
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower
- salt
- pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil (light)
Instructions
- Slice cauliflower in ¼” to ½” “steaks”. Place into a roasting pan flat side down.Drizzle olive oil over the cauliflower. I use my hands to make sure the olive oil is spread over all of cauliflower so it does not dry out. Salt and pepper to taste.Bake in oven heated to 400 degrees about 20 – 30 minutes depending on how thick/big the cauliflower pieces are. Turnover half way through.Tip: Place a silicone pan protector in the bottom of your roasting pan for easier clean up!HAPPY EATING!!
