Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

A Cindy Pascale Recipe

Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe is modified from the recipe appearing on the bag of Tollhouse Chocolate Chips. My family likes softer/chewier cookies, so I reduce the amount of flour by ¼ cup. From 2 ¼ cup flour to 2 cups of flour.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks butter-1 cup softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups toll house chocolate chip morsels
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° degrees.
In small bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt in bowl. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add butter, sugar and vanilla and mix well. Slowly add in flour mixture beating and scraping sides of bowl.
When fully mixed, add in chocolate chips and optional nuts.
Drop onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 minutes or until light brown. Cool on wire racks.
    HAPPY EATING!!
