Epitome bars are a type of dessert or snack made from a cookie-like dough that is pressed into a baking pan and baked until golden brown. Using jarred Caramel sauce takes these bars to the next level.

  • 3/4 cup caramel topping (not sauce)
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecan

Method

  1. Pre heat oven 350°
  2. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt,
  3. Add melted butter, press 1/2 mixture into 9" square pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes
  5. Mix caramel topping with 3T flour, pour over baked crust, sprinkle on chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle with rest of oat mixture
    Bake 15-20 minutes.
