- Preheat oven to 350° degrees. Spray 9 x 9” baking pan with nonstick spray and set aside. In medium bowl, combine the flour and sugar. Use a fork or knive to stir in the butter until a crumbly mixture results. Add the water a bit at a time. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan.Bake for approximately 25 minutes until slightly golden and set.While the crust is baking, beat eggs in large mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice, zest, sugar and flour and mix until all ingredients are combined and smooth.Pour mixture into still hot crust. Bake 22 – 26 minutes or until the middle is set. Let cool on wire rack for a minimum of 2 hours or chill in the refrigerator.To serve, cut into squares and add optional garnishes.Happy Eating!!
