Chocolate White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
This is such a fabulous cookie I've been making these for years. An Ina Garten Recipe from her cookbook Barefoot Contessa Parties, this recipe is easy and oh so delicious!!
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb unsalted room temperture butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla
- 2 large eggs, room temperture
- 2/3 cup good unsweetened cocoa
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 lbs good white chocolate (chips or a white chocolate bar chopped coarsly)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Cream the butter and the two sugar together until light and fluffy, in an electric mixture or a hand held mixer.Add the vanilla, then eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add cocoa and mix again.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt and add to the chocolate with the mixer running on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate.
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, using a 1 3/4 ice cream scoop or two spoons. Bake for exactly 15 minutes (the cookies will seem underdone). Remove from the oven and let cool slightlyon the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.Happy Eating!!
