Be still my heart, I’ve found the dress for Fall!! The James sweatshirt hooded maxi dress is a dream and a half.
This is my new “go-to” dress for Fall. Frank and Eileen took everything I love about a great sweatshirt and turned it into a maxi dress that somehow feels relaxed and polished at the same time.
The oversized hood, long sleeves, side slits, and raw curved hem give this dress just enough attitude. The fit is relaxed but not sloppy, which is exactly what I’m wanting in a causal dress.
I styled this outfit with Charlotte Stone Clogs, which I felt created a slightly more upscale look. You can also style this dress with sneakers or boots and create a more casual look.
I also paired the look with a Parker Thatch leopard purse which made the look a little less casual.
Frank & Eileen use small-batch garment dyes to process their clothing. What that means is each dress has their own character and will soften and fade over time (WHICH I LOVE). Translation: it becomes more yours over time.
To finish the look I added a pair of Caddis sunglasses which just made this look a little more cool.
