20 Minute Pure Strength Workout

Pure Strength: The Workout Your Body is Asking For

There is a reason strength training keeps coming up again and again. It is not just about looking toned, although let’s be honest, that matters too. Building muscle changes how your body functions. It helps you move better, age stronger, protect your bones, support your metabolism, and feel more confident in own skin.

This is not a fancy workout. Pure simple and direct.

Let’s talk about the WHY.

Why do you want to build muscle? Muscle is an active tissue. It helps your body use energy, handle blood sugar, protect your joints, and keep you independent as you age.

The science is very clear on this. Strength training helps improve insulin sensitivity and glucose control, especially as we get older. Your muscles act like storage space for glucose. The more healthy muscle tissue you have, the better your body can pull glucose out of the bloodstream and use it for energy.

Muscle = a better immune system. As you age your body inflammation increases. As you age you start to lose muscle. When you strength train you can keep your muscle and help your immune system stay health and strong. Muscle also helps lower your inflammation.

This workout is fast and simple. The benefits it gives you are life changing.

The Workout:

2-4 Rounds.

Aim for 8-10 reps of each exercise. Rest 30-60 seconds between each exercise when needed. Use weights that feel challenging by the last few reps, but still allow you to move with control.

  1. Push-ups x10
  2. Chest Press x10
  3. Plank Rows x10
  4. Hammer Bicep curls x10
  5. DB Swings x10
  6. Goblet Squats x10
  7. Glute Bridge x10

This is not a complicated workout. That is the point. The basics work when you do them with intention, good form, and enough resistance to make your body adapt.

For women over 40, this matters more. Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can make it easier to lose muscle and harder to maintain strength. That does not mean your body is broken. It means your body needs different signals. Strength training is that signal.

You are not too old.

You are not too late.

You are not supposed to fade.

You Matter.
