The rich warm tones of brown can be worn in Fall, Winter and Spring. Lets face it in the northern part of the world spring takes it time to warm up. Wearing bright pink can feel inappropriate in March when the weather is still 30°. However, when you wear brown it feels appropriate and cozy. Plaid, in my opinion is timeless, bringing on a sense of bloomed earth and budding trees. Coupled with a ruffle detail you have a whimsical fun spring dress.
Suede isn’t my first choice for footwear in spring but these light beige suede boots a perfect complement to this Tuckernuck brown plaid dress. I styled this outfit of the day with a gorgeous necklace from Silk Oak Designs and RayBan classic Aviators, to give the outfit the juxtaposition of a feminine look mixed with masculine tons.
To drive that juxtaposition home I added a brown leather bomber jacket and fun Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, just upscale enough to make a statement, but casual enough to not draw too much attention. This outfit can be worn out for lunch or dinner, to go pick up kids at school or to meet with your kids teachers.
In essence, a brown plaid ruffled dress for spring is not just a piece of clothing; it’s an expression of style that celebrates nature, femininity, and the joy of the season.
