Meet Jill Schmidt, Our New Contributing Culinary Editor

I’ve been friends with Jill Schmidt for about 16 years. She’s generous, kind, thoughtful, and the hardest-working mom I know. I’ve always said she should be President someday, and I stand by that!

Jill brings a degree in culinary arts and experience in corporate catering and event planning at Norwest Bank’s headquarters. After living in Seattle and Denver, she returned to Minneapolis and chose to stay home with her children. Cooking, baking, and entertaining her large extended family remain a big part of her life.

Now she’s bringing that experience to The House of O’Brien. Through our Haute Homemade series, Jill will share recipes and practical ideas to help you make everyday meals special and bring your family together around the table.
