The Benefits of Oatmeal

Recipe of the Day (#ROTD)

Oatmeal 101

Oatmeal is nothing new to us yet, we forget how great it is for us and how inexpensive it is make.
Course Breakfast


  • 1 cup Oatmeal
  • 1-3/4 cups water or milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • Bring water to a boil. Stir in oats
  • Cook about 5 minutes over medium heat until thick, stirring occasionally


Once the oats are completed cooked I spoon them into 1 cup refrigerator bowls. Put those bowls into the refrigerator and they can stay there for a week. Take the oats out of the refrigerator and place in a larger bowl, you can then put seeds, nuts, fruit, peanut butter, honey, coconut or chocolate on the oats.
